Our Sports Bar often offers some unexpected surprises. Something we might call the beauty of live coverage. Last night, our good old Carletto Pernat was live with us directly from the Groningen airport before boarding to return to Italy, and Uccio Salucci was right there at the same gate. Skillfully intercepted, Uccio didn't back down and was even kind enough to give us a few tidbits about VR46's future with Ducati and with Fabio Di Giannantonio, who is experiencing a great 2024.

We also spoke about important scenarios for the team, which occurred after Pramac's move to Yamaha starting in 2025 was confirmed, seeing that Ducati will have to decide how to manage the other two factory bikes they'll be giving to one or more satellite teams. From this point of view, Uccio also clarified the current scenario in which VR46 and Gresini Racing will probably share the two available GP25s.

And what about Di Giannantonio? Everyone wants him.
"Man, last year, nobody wanted him. Now, everybody does! He's really fast. Working with him is great, and he's growing so much, so it's normal that everyone wants him. We hope we can keep him, though. It would be a shame if he left. He's a fast rider and still very young. You'll see that we'll be doing something."

Do you have any news about the Ducatis you'll have in 2025?
"We talked about it right here, in Assen, a few hours ago. Basically, in my opinion, we'll have a Ducati factory 2025 and another one that will be the latest 2024. Then, maybe, we'll work. We'll talk about having two GP25s. But that's the way it is at the moment. A Ducati GP24, managed in a factory supported team, I'd define as good. We're talking about the bike that Pecco will use in Valencia, a competitive bike."

Those sound like good weapons to convince Diggia to stay.
"Last year, we believed in Di Giannantonio. We took him on. It's not true that he was Aldeguer's plan b. In the end, we wanted him because he's Italian and fast, and we also have an option on him that expires after Silverstone. I don't want to go so far as to say that we have an option but, when you sign a contract, then you also have to think that there are things written if you sign it. But, besides that, he's happy with us, with the team, and he has the fastest bike in the world. I don't see any big obstacles for him staying with us."

When will the official announcement be made?
"Let's say, we'll be departing shortly, then we'll give you definite news!"
