SBK, Emily Bondi: "A year ago, I didn't know girls could race motorcycles"

"Times are changing and it is very important to create a female reference in a country like France, where I myself, a year ago, only saw men on TV playing the sport"

SBK: Emily Bondi:

There are those who race for years without ever making it to the World Championship and those who, in their second season in the racing world, can already measure up against some of the best female athletes in the world. This is the case with Emily Bondi, one of the most interesting French riders at the start of the inaugural season of the new FIM Women's Circuit Racing World Championship.

Although her love for motorcycles began when she was still a child, and was her mother's pillion girl. Emily's racing career began in 2023, when she entered the French Women's Cup, winning the title in her debut. The 23-year-old had a lightning-quick success, supported by an exceptional coach like Xavier Simeon and proud to represent France at the highest level of motorcycling, just in her second year.

"It's very important to create a feminine reference point in a country where I, a year ago, didn't even know that girls could do this sport, because I only saw men on TV. Times are changing, and it's up to me to make things happen for all the future princesses who want to ride a motorcycle as a daily sport!" she said when speaking with the WorldWCR organizers.

Bondi's goal is clear: she wants to inspire young girls to get involved in motorcycling and gain experience in the Women's World Championship, before aiming for the title of World Champion.

"Motorcycle princesses exist, and that's you!"  This is Emily's message for future generations of female riders. "With discipline and resilience, you'll be part of the same starting grid as us one day!"
