MotoGP, Mir expresses admiration for Rossi: "He leaves me speechless, what he is doing is absurd"

"With his passion it is normal that he is where he is and has won such a lot. My prediction for 2021 is to remain in the top 3 together with Marquez and Vinales"

MotoGP: Mir expresses admiration for Rossi:

Joan Mir was born in 1997, the year in which Valentino Rossi won his first world title in 125. More than twenty years have gone by, the Spaniard is the rising star of MotoGP while the Doctor is still regularly out on track and will be next year too.

Mir spoke about Valentino in a recent interview with the Spanish website Sport.

"I am speechless, what he is doing is absurd - he explained - Someone tells him to retire, but he has a passion for motorcycles and with this attitude it is normal that he is where he is and that he has won what he won".

Joan and Rossi fought for the podium at Misano, for the Doctor it would have been his 200th in the premier class but it was the Suzuki rider who came off the better.

"He will have time to make up for it, I need podiums more than him," joked the Spaniard.

In a few months he will have to defend his title, but he has not yet decided which number he will put on the fairing of his Suzuki...

"The number 1 attracts me a lot, it's a dream and a privilege because it's the only one you can't choose - he explained - But I also really like my number 36, with which I was Moto3 and MotoGP champion. The choice is mine alone, I'm thinking about it ”.

Mir went out on a limb on a prediction for 2021…

"I'm not saying the order, but I hope to be in the top 3, along with Marquez and Vinales," he said.
