The Superbike arrives in Barcelona for the first round on the Old Continent. The Catalan test promises to be particularly treacherous for both the teams and riders, especially due to tire wear. As we all know, the Montmelò asphalt has a low grip level, and this aspect risks being a threat for the weekend. So management here becomes crucial.

Obviously, the spotlight is on Alvaro Bautista. This will be the round of truth for him after the difficulties he encountered in Australia. In the last two seasons, the Aruba rider has always played the leading role in Catalonia, and we’re waiting for a confirmation.

Speaking of Bautista, on the eve of the race, the reigning champion even declared that, after the Sepang test, he had thought about retiring, due to his physical problems following the fall he took during the Jerez test at the end of October.

We talked about this, and much more, in the company of Denis Sacchetti.
