Jorge Martin: "In MotoGP the electronics now count more than the setup"

VIDEO (ENG) - "I’m really looking forward to 2027. It will allow talent, style and riding skills to emerge, because now, even the 20th on the grid we exit all the same from the corners because in the end the bikes are doing almost everything "

The 2024 MotoGP championship promises to be one of the most competitive ever seen, and it’s not just the times recorded in testing (the last ones in Sepang speak for themselves) that will demonstrate this, but also the quality names on the grid. While it might be true that it will be difficult to knock Ducati off the top slot, at least in the immediate future, it is also true that the form factor, such as the arrival of Marc Marquez in Gresini and Pedro Acosta in KTM, but also and above all the efforts being made in development by manufacturers such as Aprilia, KTM and Yamaha have increased.

This year's Ducati line-up will be one of the most talented ever, and among these the name of Jorge Martin certainly stands out, the Pramac team rider who last season was able to fight for the title right until the very end, in that last, very tense race at Valencia. At the Sepang tests, the Madrilenian demonstrated that he has not lost the speed that distinguished him in the second half of 2023, finishing second just behind Bagnaia, among the fastest under 1'56.

It's true, tests must be taken with a pinch of salt, but they are a very valid taster of what the fans can expect in less than two weeks’ time in Qatar. While waiting for the presentation of the new livery of the Prima Pramac Racing team for the 2024 season, scheduled for February 28th, the Spaniard was a guest of Alpinestars for the presentation of the new Supertech R10 helmet. He thus took the opportunity to go back to having a look at last season's results, the mistakes made and the lessons learned. He also had a few things to say about the future and the state of the current MotoGP.
