MotoGP, Johann Zarco: "I'm not afraid of the Honda, I enjoyed riding it"

In 2019 he replaced Nakagami for three races: "In Ducati I was open to testing new things, sometimes more than the other riders. And if something wasn't working, I wasn't so stressed. Sometimes young riders, if something isn't working, put it to one side immediately"

MotoGP: Johann Zarco:

Johann Zarco is getting ready to take part in the second half of the season as a Ducati rider separated in house following his decision to switch to Honda. From Barcelona onwards, it is probable that Dall'Igna will no longer use him as an advanced tester during the Grands Prix, for obvious reasons of confidentiality. A normal procedure between manufacturers when one of its riders changes team.

The Frenchman, however, does not seem to be concerned about the development work that awaits him.

“We know that Honda has the power to invest if it has to try to find solutions, and I'll be proud if I manage to find a way with them - he declared, adding - I'm still convinced that the rider who can win with the bike, as soon as the bike is better, will be Marc because he's still an incredible rider when he feels good."

Johann will be making a return to LCR, as he replaced Takahaki Nakagami in the last three races of 2019.

"That time I had a good feeling with the Honda - he recalled - That's why I'm not afraid and I'm much more ready than in the past".

We remember that the French rider broke his contract with KTM at the Red Bull Ring, the same year.

“I had a bad experience with KTM coming from Tech3 Yamaha in 2019, but now I'm much more mature, so I think I can handle the difficult situations and I'm also ready for the positive situations when they come. I'm changing things and I'm much more aware of what's going on. I prefer to win, but I also like to understand how we can do well with the bike. In Ducati I was open to testing new things, sometimes more than the other riders. And if something didn't work out, I wasn't so stressed. Sometimes young riders, if something doesn't work out, immediately put it to one side. With a few more years things change. I think my attitude has been useful, Gigi Dall'Igna told me."
