Tardozzi: "Bayliss has the physique of a 30-year-old, he will recover soon"

"Unfortunately he moves his upper body with difficulty". Ciabatti: "Sunday evening he wrote to us to congratulate us for Miller's victory at Le Mans"

News: Tardozzi:

The morning began with the news of a bad bicycle accident for Troy Bayliss, in which he suffered a fracture of the C4 vertebra with medullary involvement. The news obviously did not go unnoticed in the Aragon paddock, as well as in Ducati, which this morning issued a press release regarding the incident.

So we spoke to Paolo Ciabatti, who also issued a statement regarding the incident: "We are really very sorry about what happened to Troy - said the manager of the Borgo Panigale company - He wrote to us on Sunday evening to congratulate us for Miller's victory, and he gave us this news later. He is a great friend and from us and from all of Ducati there is maximum support for a rapid recovery".

Another man who knows the Australian legend well is Davide Tardozzi, team manager at the time of the his successes in SBK. Between the two there is in fact a friendship that has lasted for years: "Troy is 52 years old, but he has the physique of a 30-year-old,” he told us. For a normal person it would take six months to recover, while for someone like him he could even do it in half the time. As we already know he will have to observe a rest period. As for the accident, as far as we know, Bayliss remembers nothing of what happened. Unfortunately he couldn't do anything to avoid another bike. He lost consciousness and currently moves his upper body with difficulty. But I know him and I know that he is a strong person ".
