MotoGP: Aprilia saves Raul Fernandez’s tests by “lending” him the Test Team

As announced this morning in a statement released by Dorna, FIM and IRTA, the CryptoDATA team will no longer race in MotoGP next year. The problem is that the announcement came on the eve of the first tests for 2024, and the risk was that Raul Fernandez would, therefore, not have a team to ride with tomorrow (while Miguel Oliveira won’t be there due to injury). But Aprilia will make sure that the Spanish rider will get the chance to regularly participate in the tests.

Raul will be in a “neutral” garage, namely, without sponsors on the walls (or on the bike) and will be assisted by the Noale technicians who had worked with him earlier this year. To (temporarily) replace those of the team, there will be some from the Noale Test Team. Test rider Lorenzo Salvadori, in fact, plans to ride for just a couple of hours tomorrow.
