Cremona is preparing to host World Superbike. The Italian round is scheduled for September, but on May 23 and 24 there will already be a first taster for the teams to familiarize themselves with the track that from this year will become part of the Superbike calendar. Organizing the test scheduled in twenty days will be Motocorsa, and for the occasion we will see all the factory teams on the track with the exception of BMW and Kawasaki.
In fact, the two teams have decided to revise their initial plans, choosing to test at a later date. Toprak and van der Mark as well as Bassani and Lowes will be on track at Cremona on June 19-20, during the two-day test event organized by MV Agusta, which will see several SuperSport riders involved, among others.
The factory team who will test the most at the Lombardy track is Honda. Being able to take advantage of the superconcessions, which include extra days of testing, that is, 16 as opposed to the 10 in the regulations, HRC will be in action both in May, in the appointment organized by Motocorsa, and in June in that of MV Agusta for a total of four days.
Also absent from both test dates is Team Barni as well as Michele Pirro. According to reports, Danilo Petrucci will ride on the Lombardy track in the summer but with the road bike, namely the Panigale V4 S. The Ducati test rider, on the other hand, was supposed to take to the track in May, but due to a clashing date with the Vallelunga CIV weekend was forced to forgo the race.
