MotoGP, Pirro: "With the Ducati GP13, Bagnaia's record in Jerez was reached by cutting at turn 6"

Michele goes back in time and remembers the Desmosedici from eleven years ago, comparing it to today's GP24, with which Pecco set the fastest lap of 1'37"4 on Sunday in the race

MotoGP: Pirro:

It was a dream Sunday in Jerez for Ducati, with three Desmosedici shining on the podium. Pecco Bagnaia was on the top step. Besides winning, he also set the record lap in the race in 1'37"449. Speaking of the rider from Piedmont's performance, Michele Pirro remembered times passed on the Ducati, going back 11 years.

"Facebook reminds me that, eleven years ago today, I was in Jerez with this Ducati, (Desmosedici GP13)," he read in a post on social media. "They'd do 1'37"4  if you cut from turn six. The test rider's recollection gave us an idea of how great the evolution of the last few years has been and at what level the Desmosedici, which has become to all intents and purposes the bike of reference bike, is today.

Ducati is, therefore, enjoying the success and, at the same time, reaping the fruits of the hard work they've done over time. Gigi Dall'Igna has been the brains, Michele Pirro the arm.
